check outs after holidays especially.  They have about four meetings a year and the more the merrier and the lighter the load, so please do consider it.

  • It is still possible to order  badges for the challenge Our Town, Our Community.  There is no date on the badges so they can be used any time.

  • International selection has taken place and Holly Watson from Arbroath (16-18years) and Heidi Grewar from Montrose (14-16 years)(with Rachel Lorrimer as reserve) will go forward
    for Scottish Selection.

    • The number of girls for selection was disappointing this year! Guide leaders please encourage your girls to attend in future, there are great opportunities out there waiting for the right person.

    We have had three girls at international camps this summer (Charlotte Yates and Louise Cromar at the Swedish Jamboree and Annah Cargill in Belgium) and I am sure they would all agree that it has been a fantastic experience.

    To celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee next year the county is holding a four
    day residential event at Ladenford from Sat 30th June to Wed 4thJuly.

    Guides/senior section will camp for 4 nights (£50), Brownies for 2 nights
    (£25) and Rainbows for 1 night (£12).

    We are looking for volunteers to join the
    catering, first aid, programme and site services teams.

    Each Rainbow and Brownie unit attending can
    bring one leader only so extra leaders should volunteer for one of the teams!

    So congratulations to Erin Grewar, Fiona Edwards,  Graceann Robertson and Lauren McCrum.  Picture shows them walking along the  coastal path between Arbroath and Ferryden.
