Kirriemuir Landward is a small District comprising, at present, just one Brownie unit. However the 1st Glamis Brownies are very popular and are now very proud to be able to offer Rainbows in the village for the first time ever. Girlguiding Angus is delighted to have a guiding presence in Glamis as the late Queen Mother, whose home it was, was District Commissioner for Glamis before her marriage! Her successor, Moira, is also commissioner for Kirriemuir Town and Cortachy & Tannadice (another small district), resulting in the girls in Glamis being able to join with a larger district for events such as the recent Centenary Launch.
