Girlguiding UK enables girls and young women to develop their potential and make a difference in the world. Guiding is a game with a purpose, it offers girls and young women opportunities to try new activities, make new friends and have fun within a safe girl-only environment.

Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Leaders

It provides opportunities for them to:-

  • Think for themselves and make decisions
  • Be part of a team and learn leadership skills
  • Increase their self-respect and self-confidence
  • Develop personal values
  • Do their best according to their abilities
  • Seek spiritual development
  • Contribute to society by helping others.

Rainbow Guides are 5 to 7 years old.
Brownie Guides are 7 to 10 years old.
Guides are 10 to 14 years old.
Senior Section (Rangers or Young Leaders) are 14 to 25 years old.

Adults aged 18 to 65 can become leaders with a unit or help in many other ways. Get involved >
